About
Huiling Ding is an assistant professor of professional communication at Clemson University. Her research interests include intercultural professional communication, health communication, risk communication, medical rhetoric, scientific communication, comparative rhetoric, writing in the disciplines, workplace communication, and second language writing.
Her articles have appeared in Technical Communication Quarterly, Written Communication, Business Communication Quarterly, Rhetoric Review, China Media Research, and English for Specific Purposes. She has recently finished a book manuscript on the transcultural communication about the global epidemic of SARS and will start another major project on the competition between Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine in late colonial China at the turn of the twentieth century.
